These photographs began as a class project for a course I was attending at Northern Illinois University. I started taking photographs in the town I grew up for a class project. Prior to my transfer to NIU, I had been attending a university in Georgia for almost two years. My experience there had left me homesick, which is what led to capturing my town through photography. This exploration eventually expanded outward to more rural areas in Illinois. This is still an active project, which may never have a true completion.
